Math and Learning for Teacher Apprentices

Course participants develop a deeper understanding of math concepts while learning tutoring strategies and activities that can be used in a small group setting. This course creates a greater appreciation for the in-depth understanding of mathematical concepts and skills. Basic tutoring strategies and small group management techniques are integrated throughout the course to provide a productive and engaging environment for meaningful academic learning and to facilitate social and emotional growth. PLN’s Math Frameworks: The Five Math Processes and The Four Lenses of Learning are introduced and integrated throughout the course.
