Instructional Coaching Endorsement & Certificate

The Instructional Coaching Endorsement and Certificate Program prepares K-12 educators with the skills and knowledge needed to become effective instructional coaches and agents of innovative change. Through a combination of theoretical and practical approaches, participants in this program will gain insights into coaching frameworks and models, how to build relationships and establish trust with teachers and other stakeholders, and the ethical considerations and challenges that may arise in coaching relationships. Participants will also have opportunities to develop and refine their coaching skills and strategies, including goal setting, questioning techniques, and feedback methods. Additionally, participants will be required to actively implement the course content through 10 hours of embedded practicum in each course, allowing them to apply their learning in real-world settings and receive feedback and guidance from instructors and peers throughout the endorsement instruction.

This course engages educators with best practices for instructional coaching and a framework for supporting literacy to build school or district capacity.

Through this course, participants will have a deep understanding of coaching principles and strategies and be able to apply them to support teachers' professional growth and improve classroom instruction.
